Betrayer is a thrash-hardcore metal band from Sibiu,Transylvania. It all started in the year 2003, when four guys met , and decided to form a metal band, that would shake the foundations of the local scene and of the transylvanian underground. After a while the band started taking off, having a busy gig list. After a year of succes and giging, the band felt appart by the departure of two of the members. The band was resurected in late 2005 and began from where they left. Even if in all this time various members came and went, the band managed to stay on it's road and continued to refine it's sound. Speaking of sound, the band has a thrash metal base but with strong hardcore, death metal and even classic heavy metal influences. The message of the band is pure attitude , condemning the bad things in today’s society, and adding to this, personal experiencies with the harsh life. Thru the years the band had major gigs all along Romania, such as : various biker meetings, 3 editions of the International Theatre Festival, Rockin Transilvania opening for Kreator and Testament , Artmania, and a strong chain of gigs in clubs all over the country. In 2008 , the first audio bootleg material saw the light of day, a live concert recorded in Arad in the same year. In 2009 , the first demo material was released under the name “13 Angels”.
