Revolution Music Canada is a small organization in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada dedicated to helping the independent music scene. We assist bands with live promotion, studio recordings, cd releases and internet promotion. We distribute compilation cd's to promote indie artists. We put on live shows to showcase indie talent. We'd like to take crappy major label music out of peoples' homes and replace it with something better. We'd like you to bookmark us. Revolution Music Canada is also a project recording studio located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada and this website documents our production and live show history. As well, CILU Radio 102.7FM (Thunder Bay) hosted the Revolution Music Radio Show from 2005 to 2009 (currently on hiatus). In addition to the that documentation, we also intend to be an independent resource of helpful tips, news articles, and links to help underground bands promote their music in Canada.

We distribute compilation cd's to promote indie artists. We put on live shows to showcase indie talent. We'd like to take crappy major label music out of peoples' homes and replace it with something better. We'd like you to bookmark us.
Revolution Music Canada got it's start in Thunder Bay in the mid-late 90s by Destructo and Randy Young. Soon after, Scott Freeborn joined the organization and we began recording local bands, putting on local shows, and releasing cd's. Other people who have worked with the organization over the years include Camden Blues, Webster Death, Mike Glena and Chris Baker. Currently, Revolution Music Canada is owned and administered soley by Destructo. Destructo also administers baycore.net which is a punk and metal community and co-administers bandwiki.ca with Tjernobyl (founder) which is a comprehensive music wiki for Thunder Bay.
Live Shows
As of late 2006, all live shows are now being put on by baycore.net which is a local music community run by Revolution Music Canada. For all upcoming indie live shows in the Thunder Bay area of the punk & metal variety, check baycore.net
Radio Show
The Revolution Music Radio Show began in September, 2005. The show was on hiatus from June 2007 to May 2008. The show currently aired every Tuesday night from Midnight to 1am from May 2008 to June 2009. The show is currently on hiatus.
Recording Studio
Revolution Music Canada has been active as a recording studio since the mid 90s, recording demos, ep's, or full albums for bands such as Glass Onion, The Rad Kids, Dishonourable Discharge, 420, Speedway Detectives, Red Devil, RockTruck, Cryptic Torture, Jordana, Scott Freeborn, The Rots, Dead City, AVS, Webster Death, Royal-T, and a lot more. Our equipment includes 24-bit audio interfaces, high quality studio microphones, and a range of music equipment and instruments. Our project studio is customizable to fit a variety of musical ensembles from solo acoustic songwriters right up to modern pop and rock bands. All of our studio recordings have been free of charge to help contribute to the development of independent and underground music in Canada.
